East Indian Rice Pudding (kheer)

* East Indian Rice Pudding is called Kheer and it's a very popular milk and rice based dish in the East Indian culture, also it's really easy to make.Kheer









Ingredients:
1/2 cup rice
1/3 cup sugar
3 cups milk
Garnish- raisins, almonds, coconut shreds etc..

Method:
1. Put milk in a medium-large pot and bring to a slight boil.
2. Add washed rice to the milk and turn heat to low-3 level.
3.Stir the mixture after approx. every 5-7 mins till thick .
4. Once the mixture is thick add in sugar and stir.
4. Take the kheer off the stove in about 10 mins or until the sugar mixes in.
5. Garnish and serve.
